Our Story

Love at first dance

We met while attending Iowa State University during the spring of 2024. After we were briefly introduced in the student lounge at St. Thomas Aquinas, our church in Ames, we unexpectedly agreed to go to a swing dance together the next day. Katie swept Andrew off his feet, and after that first dance, the deal was sealed.

Over 2 years of dating, we have built our relationship on unforgettable adventures, unwavering support of one another, and most importantly, our shared faith. As we enter this exciting new stage of our lives as a married couple, we would want nothing more than to celebrate with the people we love most.

The Catholic Church believes that the bread and wine offered during the Mass truly become the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Holding to the teachings of the church, we ask that only practicing Catholics who have been properly prepared to receive communion do so. If you are not a practicing Catholic, you may remain seated in your pew or come forward with arms crossed to receive a blessing as communion is distributed.
